BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- New England can breathe easy--ESPN reports that the injury to Patriots QB Tom Brady's hand caused no structural damage.

Patriots QB Tom Brady was limited in practice Wednesday after receiving an injury to his throwing hand.

ESPN reporter Mike Reiss said the injury happened on the field as Brady prepared for his 12th AFC Championship Game.

"It's described to me as a minor collision that Tom Brady was involved with, his right throwing hand making contact with one of his Patriots teammates," Reiss said.

After, Brady met with his medical team and had an x-ray, which showed no structural damage--unlike the broken finger he played through in 2010.

Earlier this year, Brady also played through an injured shoulder and Achilles tendon.
