A Brinks armored truck filled with $600,000 in cash made an accidental deposit when its doors flew open on an interstate in Indianapolis — and people wasted no time taking to the highway to pick up the loose bills.
Drivers pulled over for their chance to grab the bills as they blew across the road.
The money was contained in bags, some of which broke open and sent thousands of dollars in paper currency flying.
Some people held handfuls of cash, which was returned to Brinks, according to Perrine.
Others were forced to empty their pockets and bags, too, he said.Police are looking for motorists who took off with unknown amounts of cash before troopers arrived at the scene.
