It can be fascinating how a movement can go from small to international.

I found an interesting article that debates the growing commercialism of Gay Pride events and specifically, the parades around the country.

One of the growing issues is straight kids using the parades to get drunk and dress up. 

Here's an interesting article addressing the growing controversy surrounding the various Pride marches around the country.

In the article, it mentions how the LGBTQ parades are not even 50 years old, but the commercialism of the parades have become "Gay Inc" according to one person in the article.
