BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- The Boston Celtics have re-signed free agent guard Marcus Smart to a four-year, $52 million deal, according to multiple reports.

Smart did not have any offers elsewhere--only a one-year, $6.1 million qualifying offer extended by the Celtics--but Celtics President Danny Ainge and Smart's agent Happy Walters came together Wednesday morning in Boston to make the deal.

While he was scheduled to have a media availability Thursday -- that was postponed. According to a release from the Celtics, Smart experienced stomach flu-like symptoms earlier and is currently receiving IV fluids at New England Baptist Hospital.
