About Woman Of The Week: Attorney Nicole Bluefort is a rising star in the Greater Boston legal community. She is an experienced trial attorney who focuses on family law, estate planning, personal injury, real estate, criminal defense and general litigation. Nicole served as an Adjunct Professor at North Shore Community College’s ABA Approved Paralegal Program where she taught Civil Litigation, Legal Research, and Field Placement.
She is known for her exceptional leadership skills and aggressive representation.
Her education is extensive and impressive: a graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Hispanic Studies, Northeastern University School of Law with a Juris Doctor, and Tufts University School of Medicine with a Master’s degree in Public Health. After graduating from law school, Nicole completed a two-year term as a judicial clerk for the first African American to be appointed to the Massachusetts Appeals Court, Judge Frederick Brown.
Nicole is featured on billboards throughout the North Shore, has appeared on major networks such as CNN, ESPN, and FOX, and has commented on various legal issues in the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
Her list of achievements include: President’s Marathon Challenge Award for Community-Based Research, Denise Carty-Bennia Memorial Bar Award, and most recently was appointed by Governor Charlie Baker as Trustee for North Shore Community College. Nicole was also just named among Network Journals 40 Under 40 Achievers, National Bar Association 40 Under 40 - "Nation's Best Advocate", and Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly - "Top Woman Of Law". Nicole is a national and international speaker who frequently tours with the Black CEO Institute sharing her lecture The 5 Strategies for Building a Profitable Business and most recently spoke in London with an upcoming appearance in South Africa.
In 2017, Nicole launched Nicole Marie Consulting, a firm that focuses on developing women who are looking to start or grow a business. In August of 2017, she launched the firm’s first business bootcamp, The Revenue Generator Mastermind Bootcamp, with 50 attendees. She is committed to the growth of minority and women entrepreneurs.Nicole is active in her hometown community of Lynn and serves as a mentor to at-risk and first-generation students at the high school level. She volunteers as an expert guest speaker at Northeastern University's Business School, Boston Bar Association, and Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. Nicole supports the efforts of Centerboard as a donor and sponsors families during the holidays. She served on the Lynn Community Health Board of Directors and as a volunteer at Children’s Hospital, and is also an active volunteer to local homeless shelters and food pantries.
