About Woman Of The Week: Anna grew up in Mattapan, and is the daughter of two Boston Public School teachers. She went into the METCO program where she attended Marblehead Public Schools. Anna is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of A Mavens World, an event-focused and consulting business that works with individuals and brands on strategy, networking, and development. She is a connector, event host, speaker, entrepreneur, and influencer. Anna holds a Business Degree from Suffolk University, and a Law Degree from Suffolk University Law School. She is married with two children and lives South of Boston.
Anna's work has earned her various awards and recognition; including the Ignatius Foundation Sapphire Award, special appearances on numerous media outlets, and three state-level honors: 2016 from the Governor of Massachusetts, and two-consecutive honors in 2016 and 2017 from the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Her popular workshops "Creating Your Brand", and "Mindfulness for Entrepreneurs" serve as a guide for professionals looking to develop their personal and professional brand. Anna has partnered with numerous entrepreneurs, non-profits, and corporate clients, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts, the Bottom Line, the Greater Boston Sickle Cell Disease Association, and NAACP ActSo/STEM Competition. She presently sits on the Small Business Advisory Board for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
In January 2019 she will be hosting her 7th Annual Women's Conference for Professional Development and Leadership at Lombardo's in Randolph.
