You Can't Count Chickens Before They Hatch..

Congrats to the Sox for reaching 100 wins for the first time in a season since 1946!

More than '67, '75..you get where this is going..

Without touching the proverbial "third rail" of 1978 or 1986..I want to show how everything before October is just window dressing.

After, the first three games of the ALCS against the Yankees in 2004. It looked a disaster. We couldn't hit Mariano Rivera if we had a bat as long as the Pike..Game three was a nightmare..and at first, Game 4 felt like a consolation prize..

So, as any good historian about the Sox will tell you what happens from there..

"Nobody comes back from 3-0.."

Wrong.

In fact, after Johnny D hits the monster shot early in Game 7 at Yankee Stadium..meeting the St. Louis Cardinal's in the World Series became a form of "walk-over"...

Like an opening day tennis match at The U.S. Open.

In 2004, the Yankees had 101 Wins, the Cardinals 105 Wins..

The Red Sox..98.

So, yes the 100 wins is a great thing to celebrate, but it's the 11 that you need in October that counts!

Go Sox!
