About The Woman Of The Week: Jaida grew up in Boston and has worked with Boys & Girls Clubs Of Boston where she assisted with their mission of putting children on the path to having a great future and she helped to ensure that they have all the tools possible to make it a reality. Jaida is very passionate about helping people and while attending high school she helped kids at St. Stephen's Youth Programs. Her summer's were full of so much love, laughter, and learning. From double dutch, to field trips and painting murals Jaida was developing and deepening her leadership skills in many ways. She is living proof that no matter what challenges a young person faces, they are more likely to succeed when they have many caring adults in their lives.
Programs keep children educated and focused and help to break cycles of violence, overcome life and academic obstacles, make positive choices, and remain on the right path towards life success.
Jaida Fonfield is now a 19 year old sophomore at UMass Amherst and is on the Dean’s list. Her major is Economics with a minor in Education.
Jaida is a student entrepreneur and owner of Sinclaire, a women’s fashion company that designs business suits to empower women to be beautiful, confident, and bold while being pretty in a suit. Sinclaire came about one night in 2017, and it took Jaida one year for the idea to come to fruition. She spent long nights researching what woman wanted in a business suit, the perfect material for the suit, and finding a manufacturer to create her design. On November 23, 2018 Jaida officially launched Sinclaire online, and did her first pop up shop the following day. In addition to being a student, Jaida works countless hours to improve her business, and every day watches as her business continues to grow.
